JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Philosophy at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for Adjunct Lecturer openings.
Job Duties- Part-time Lecturers will teach undergraduate courses in Philosophy.
- Candidates with Ph.D. degrees in the discipline may also be assigned to teach upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses.
- A Master’s degree in a related field is required.
- Successful candidates must either have demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity.
The start date for Fall 2025 appointments is August 25, 2025
. These are one semester, non-tenure track appointments with the possibility of reappointment. Adjunct Lecturers normally teach one to two courses per semester.
