ARL Part-Time Grad

Job Description

Penn State’s Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) program is seeking an enterprising graduate student for an ARL Part‑Time Grad position in the Fluid Dynamics and Acoustics Office. The student will conduct research to enhance their readiness for successful and impactful careers in national security.

• Support engineering testing, data analysis, and data visualization.
• Perform hands‑on work in a laboratory environment.
• Use multiple computing languages, analysis tools, simulations, and measurement systems.

Approval of remote and hybrid work is not guaranteed regardless of work location.

• Graduate students majoring in Engineering Science and Mechanics are encouraged to apply.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Employment requires successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen.
• Primary work location will be fully on‑site in State College, PA.
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance (if applicable).
