Job Description
The Department of Biology, in the Eberly College of Science, has a part‑time opening for a Research Lab Assistant to work in the Szpara research lab within the department this academic year. The Research Assistant will handle data entry and annotation of genomic data, in preparation for its public release. This individual will extract key metrics from the lab’s published papers, summarize these in Excel, and link them to the lab’s existing genomic data.
This individual will interface with public data repositories to record the same information there. Training and supervision will be provided by the lab’s Bioinformatics specialist and the PI. This Research Assistant’s tasks require excellent record‑keeping and attention to detail.
