Part-Time Maize Genetics Lab and Greenhouse Research Assistant- Chopra

About the Position

Chopra Lab is looking for part-time research support assistants.

Duties include:

• Prepare seeds for greenhouse and field planting
• Assist in planting, crop management, and follow agronomic practices
• Collect plant data from seed germination to maturity
• Collect and bring samples to the lab for PCR-based genotyping, DNA, RNA, and protein isolations
• Perform crosses, pollinations, and selfings of selected plants
• Harvest and send samples for analysis
• Perform seed collection, drying, storage, and processing
