Job Summary:
The Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing is looking for a Part‑time Research Assistant (RA) for a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Study on Delirium in Hospitalized Older Adults. The study is implementation‑based and involves a twice‑daily nurse‑led 2‑step delirium identification screening across three communities in PA and MA. RAs may be required to travel to Hershey or be located in Hershey.
- Assist with in‑person recruiting, consenting, and screening research participants, clinical research procedures, and medical record reviews.
- Conduct inter‑rater reliability checks.
- Assist with data entry, data management, and maintaining data protection & quality.
- May assist with literature search and other research work assigned.
- Attend and contribute to scheduled team meetings.
- Assist with marketing and communication where needed.
- Other duties as needed to carry out study procedures.
- Must have completed the COVID‑19 vaccination and other pre‑employment requirements by at least two weeks prior to employment.
- Must be a team player capable of working with faculty and other research team members, as well as independently to meet project deadlines.
- Strong professional and interpersonal communication skills required, both written and verbal.
- Preference may be given to individuals specializing in healthcare or related fields who have experience working with older adults with cognitive impairment or delirium.

Salary: $18.00 – $27.00 per hour, depending on experience.
