Postdoctoral Research Scientists – Plant Genetic Improvement

• Conduct research on genetic improvement of Theobroma cacao as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Design and execute highly controlled laboratory and greenhouse plant experiments.
• Collect phenotypic and molecular data and perform statistical analysis of complex datasets.
• Maintain detailed records, analyze results, and communicate findings clearly through presentations and written reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues in a laboratory setting and contribute to grant proposal preparation.

• Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in plant sciences, genetics, plant breeding, or a closely related field.
• Evidence of completion of the doctoral program prior to the effective date of hire.
• Hands‑on experience with laboratory and greenhouse plant experimentation, phenotypic and molecular data collection.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis of complex biological datasets.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a research environment.
