Position
Postdoctoral Research Scientists – Plant Genetic Improvement
Responsibilities- Conduct research on genetic improvement of Theobroma cacao as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Design and execute highly controlled laboratory and greenhouse plant experiments.
- Collect phenotypic and molecular data and perform statistical analysis of complex datasets.
- Maintain detailed records, analyze results, and communicate findings clearly through presentations and written reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues in a laboratory setting and contribute to grant proposal preparation.
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in plant sciences, genetics, plant breeding, or a closely related field.
- Evidence of completion of the doctoral program prior to the effective date of hire.
- Hands‑on experience with laboratory and greenhouse plant experimentation, phenotypic and molecular data collection.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis of complex biological datasets.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a research environment.
