Job Description and Position Requirements
The Animal Nutritional Physiology research group is seeking part‑time assistance with dairy nutrition experiments at the Penn State Dairy farm. The position will primarily be responsible for collecting and weighing feed refusals, calculating the amount of feed needed that day, and mixing and delivering feed to cows on nutrition experiments. It requires early morning hours (approximately 5:30 to 8:30 A.M.) 3 to 4 days per week.
The employee will also assist with the collection of milk samples some mornings. The role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs with or without assistance. Previous experience with cows or other large animals is preferred.
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
