POSITION SPECIFICS
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar under the direction of Dr. Derek Hall.
Job duties include:- Conduct laboratory testing, perform data analysis, and develop the technical content needed to communicate the study findings.
- Execute corrosion experiments under simulated operating and offline conditions, analyze results from advanced characterization methods such as X-ray computed tomography, interpret corrosion behavior across different treatment conditions, and prepare figures, summaries, presentations, and technical reports.
- Ph.D. in corrosion science, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field by the start date.
- Experience conducting laboratory-based experimental research.
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
- Experience preparing technical reports, figures, and presentations.
- Experience with X-ray CT characterization.
