Hiring UnitGerald Bronfman Department of Oncology - Dr. McCaffrey's Lab
Position Summary- Perform mouse genotyping using PCR-based methods and gel electrophoresis.
- Digest tissue samples and prepare DNA for analysis.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of genotyping results.
- Communicate results clearly and promptly to multiple lab members.
- Ensure proper sample handling, labeling, and tracking to avoid errors.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to coordinate genotyping schedules and priorities.
- Uphold laboratory standards for safety, reproducibility, and data integrity.
- Applicants must hold a BSc or be enrolled in a BSc program at McGill.
- Experience in a laboratory environment.
- Working knowledge computer software including Excel and Word.
- Flexible work schedule is required.
- Must be accepted into the Work Study Program
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience with molecular biology techniques preferred.
