Job DescriptionWe are seeking a postdoctoral researcher in the Particle Astrophysics group to work with Prof. Stephanie Wissel on experimental searches for the highest energy neutrinos, multi‑messenger, and particle astrophysics.
Responsibilities- Conduct research on the Radio Neutrino Observatory in Greenland (RNO‑G) as the Penn State group leads integration, testing, and validation of data acquisition systems.
- Contribute to event filtering at both hardware and software levels and analyze data to search for the highest energy neutrinos.
- Assist with instrument calibration, monitoring, and field deployment activities, including installation and commissioning of new stations.
- Collaborate with the Particle Astrophysics group and the Center for Multi‑Messenger Astrophysics (CMA) at the Institute for Gravitation and the Cosmos.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in physics or astronomy with a strong background in particle astrophysics, multi‑messenger astrophysics, particle physics, cosmic ray physics, or a related field.
