Part-Time Research​/Teaching Assistant - Engineering

Job Description and Position Requirements

The Department of Aerospace Engineering seeks to hire part‑time research assistants and part‑time teaching/learning assistants from Penn State students and non‑students.

Research Assistant Duties:

• Conduct research and collect data
• Interpret and analyze research data
• Report status of research activities
• Meet with research principle to maintain ongoing communication of research progress
• Perform other duties as assigned by research principle

Teaching / Learning Assistant Duties:

• Grade student assignments and exams
• Respond to and return student work in a timely manner
• Hold regular office hours
• Attend lectures if required by faculty supervisor
• Consult with faculty supervisor to resolve administrative, grading or other issues related to the course
• Perform other duties as assigned by faculty supervisor
