Overview
Auburn University Libraries is seeking applicants for the position of Student Assistant Desk Supervisor to provide customer service support at the Circulation Desk and Mell Classroom Information Desk. This role assists faculty, staff, and students while contributing to the daily operations of the unit. Student assistants may work up to 20 hours per week, based on operational needs. This position requires a non-traditional schedule and reports to the Night Supervisor within the Circulation Unit.

Work Hours:
Monday – Friday, 12:00 a.m. – 7:15 a.m.
Pay Rate:$9.35/hour + $2.40/hour shift premium for overnight hours
Responsibilities- Assist all library patrons at the desks
- Answer questions face to face or via phone
- Maintain a safe and secure environment and coordinate with security officers
- Check library materials in and/or out
- Return items to the shelves
- Sort books and other library materials
- Assist with printing and scanning needs
- Must be currently enrolled as a student at Auburn University
- All application questions must be completed
- Must provide detailed availability for each day of the week within up all night work hours
