Assistant Director – Financial Aid (T236927)
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks an Assistant Director Financial Aid that will work under general supervision, coordinates various department programs and workshops. Oversees routine administrative activities. Reviews and evaluates financial assistance applications. Provides counseling and assistance. Compiles financial aid packages. Maintains department records and databases. Collects data and prepares a variety of special and recurring analyses and reports.
Supervises, trains, evaluates performance, disciplines and makes/monitors work assignment of subordinate personnel. Evaluates and awards institutional merit‑based, need‑based and athletic scholarships for freshmen, transfer, and current UAB students. Manages all outside agency scholarship checks for UAB students. Adheres to all institution, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
