The Education Coordinator supports departmental fellowship programs, including Foot & Ankle, Trauma, Sports Medicine, Spine, and Total Joint. This role ensures operational consistency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the department’s educational mission. The coordinator manages recruitment, onboarding, accreditation processes, and program development while supporting fellows, faculty, and leadership.
General Responsibilities- Coordinate the activities and operations for the educational program(s) of a specific student group (e.g., medical students, residency programs, fellowship programs).
- Maintain records, schedules, and program information.
- Perform general program related duties for incoming, continuing, and outgoing clerkships, residents, medical students or fellows.
- Maintain program and trainee databases; disseminate information related to educational programs, meetings, schedules and orientation to trainees through websites and electronic or written communication.
- Coordinate program lectures, retreats, conferences and meetings and document trainee and faculty attendance.
- Plan special events such as orientation, graduation, guest speakers/lecturers, and other formal didactic events.
- Work with Chief Resident(s) and/or Registrar to create an annual rotation schedule and any monthly changes.
- Maintain extensive ongoing documentation for accreditation reports, accreditation site visits, trainee recruitment, and trainee orientation.
- Provide office support as needed for faculty program directors, education administrator and trainees.
- Distribute, collect and input trainee and faculty evaluations.
- Proctor and administer exams; calculate records and submit grades.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
$19.80 - $32.15
Qualifications- Associate's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required; work experience may substitute for education requirement.
