Job Description

University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a Student Athlete Advisor III to provide advising for student‑athletes counseling and advising on major and career planning, and to maintain accurate and timely information on academic progress. The advisor will act as a primary advisor for the school or unit, provide training to other Student‑Athlete Advisors, assist in coordinating student‑athlete orientation, perform eligibility evaluations, serve on campus committees, complete assigned projects, and establish and maintain relationships with all student‑athletes, coaches, and faculty.

• Provide academic and career counseling to student‑athletes.
• Maintain accurate academic progress records.
• Act as the primary advisor for the school or unit.
• Train and mentor other Student‑Athlete Advisors.
• Coordinate student‑athlete orientation and eligibility evaluations.
• Serve on campus committees and complete projects as assigned.
• Establish and maintain relationships with student‑athletes, coaches, and faculty.

• Master's degree in a related field.
• At least two (2) years of related experience (work experience cannot substitute for education requirements).

• Shift: Day / 1st Shift.
• Work arrangement:
  Onsite; final schedule to be determined by the department/hiring manager.
