We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Biostatistician to join our multidisciplinary Cardiovascular Clinical and Translational Research Program. This position serves as the primary statistical leader.
The Biostatistician Lead is a team lead role that coordinates biostatistical efforts across multiple projects, leads a team of statisticians, and ensures methodological rigor. The Lead has increased responsibility for mentoring and overseeing the work of junior staff, developing and implementing departmental policies, and driving the continuous improvement of biostatistical practices. It is pivotal in fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring the alignment of biostatistical activities with organizational goals.
KeyRoles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include directing the biostatistical team, mentoring junior staff, leading grant and publication efforts, and ensuring methodological excellence across multiple concurrent research projects. The successful candidate will provide leadership in statistical methodology, study design, and data analysis across research projects focused on cardiovascular genetics, proteomics, clinical trials, and computational medicine. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge studies leveraging large-scale datasets such as the UK Biobank, All of Us Research Program, REGARDS, and multicenter clinical trials.
By integrating rigorous biostatistics with innovative clinical and translational science, the Lead Biostatistician will help advance precision medicine and improve patient outcomes.

Proficiency in statistical programming and data analysis software; experience with complex biomedical or genomic datasets; knowledge of advanced statistical modeling techniques; familiarity with computational approaches in health research; experience with large research databases or cohort studies; understanding of clinical research design principles.

Biostatistical support for cardiovascular or genetics research; analysis of complex biomedical datasets in academic or clinical trial settings; collaborative research in clinical or translational science environments; statistical consultation for NIH-funded or industry-sponsored research projects; publications demonstrating applied biostatistical methodology in peer-reviewed journals
Salary Range: $73,945 - $120,165
QualificationsEducation
- Doctorate degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience
- OR Master’s degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience
- OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field and seven (7) years of related experience required.
- Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
