Our client is seeking an experienced and charismatic Safari Lodge Manager to oversee operations at their exclusive lodge near Upington , a gateway to the Kalahari's wonders. This role requires a hands-on leader dedicated to providing unparalleled guest experiences, managing staff, and ensuring the seamless functioning of all lodge amenities, from accommodation and dining to game drives. You will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional service in a unique wilderness setting, contributing to the success of the lodge within the specialized niche of Hospitality & Tourism.
This is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about conservation and luxury travel.
- Manage day-to-day lodge operations, ensuring high standards of guest service and satisfaction.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, and management, fostering a positive and efficient team environment.
- Manage lodge inventory, including food and beverage, supplies, and operational equipment.
- Ensure the maintenance and upkeep of all lodge facilities, vehicles, and infrastructure.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance guest experiences and safety protocols.
- Liaise with guiding teams, conservationists, and local communities to ensure a holistic guest experience.
- Proven experience as a Lodge Manager or in a senior management role within a luxury safari lodge or similar hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent financial management capabilities, including budgeting and cost control.
- Knowledge of safari operations, wildlife viewing protocols, and safety standards.
- Passion for conservation and delivering authentic wilderness experiences.
