About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Electrician to join their maintenance team in Upington. This role involves the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electrical systems on various aircraft. You will work with intricate wiring, avionic systems, and power distribution networks, ensuring that all electrical components function safely and efficiently to meet stringent aviation standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician to specialize in the dynamic and critical field of aviation maintenance, contributing directly to flight safety and operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair aircraft electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, circuit breakers, and power distribution units.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals.
  • Perform inspections of electrical components and systems to ensure compliance with specifications and airworthiness standards.
  • Work with avionic systems, instrument panels, and related electrical components.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure all work performed adheres to safety regulations and company procedures.
Requirements
  • Relevant trade certification or qualification as an Electrician.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Aircraft Electrician or in a related electrical maintenance role in aviation.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, principles, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Experience with aircraft wiring, connectors, and electrical components.
  • Good mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
