Instrumentation Apprentice

Our client is seeking proactive individuals for an Instrumentation Apprentice role in Upington . This apprenticeship offers comprehensive training in the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of industrial instrumentation used for measuring and controlling process variables such as temperature, pressure, flow, and level. You will work with sophisticated equipment and systems within industrial plants, learning from expert instrumentation technicians. This is a critical role for sectors like energy, mining, and manufacturing in the Northern Cape , providing a pathway to a highly technical and rewarding career.

• Assist in the installation and commissioning of process instruments and control systems.
• Learn to calibrate instruments accurately according to specifications and standards.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation hardware.
• Read and interpret instrumentation diagrams , P&IDs, and technical documentation.
• Work with control valves, transmitters, sensors, and associated electrical wiring.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company procedures.

• Grade 12 certificate with strong performance in Mathematics and Physical Science.
• A keen interest in industrial control systems and instrumentation.
• Logical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work accurately with delicate equipment and follow precise procedures.
