Field Installation Technician

Our client is looking for a skilled Field Installation Technician to join their team, primarily serving clients in and around Upington. This role involves the hands‑on installation, setup, and basic maintenance of various types of equipment and systems at customer locations. You will be responsible for ensuring that installations are completed to a high standard, troubleshooting any initial issues, and providing excellent customer service.

This hybrid role offers a mix of on‑site work and potentially remote coordination, allowing flexibility while ensuring critical field operations are maintained within the Northern Cape region.

• Install, configure, and test equipment and systems at customer sites according to specifications.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve installation‑related issues.
• Ensure all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and meet quality standards.
• Maintain accurate installation records, including service reports and parts used.
• Communicate effectively with customers to explain installed systems and address any queries.
• Manage inventory of installation materials and maintain company vehicle.

• Previous experience in an installation, technical support, or field service role.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to interpret installation guides, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel within the Upington area.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
