Agricultural Foreman

Our client is looking for a capable and experienced Agricultural Foreman to lead and supervise field operations on their farm in Upington . This role requires strong leadership skills to manage a team of farm workers, ensuring all agricultural tasks are performed efficiently, safely, and according to plan. You will be responsible for overseeing daily activities related to crop cultivation, irrigation, and general farm maintenance, playing a key role in maximizing productivity and achieving operational targets.

The ideal candidate will have a hands‑on approach and a solid understanding of agricultural practices.

• Supervise and direct the work of farm laborers engaged in planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting crops.
• Ensure that all agricultural activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards.
• Monitor crop conditions, irrigation systems, and equipment, reporting any issues or needs for maintenance.
• Train new farm workers on specific tasks, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Allocate resources and labor effectively to meet production schedules and targets.
• Maintain daily records of work performed, labor hours, and materials used.
• Promote a safe and productive working environment for the entire farm team.

• Proven experience as an Agricultural Foreman or in a similar supervisory role in agriculture.
• Solid understanding of crop cultivation techniques, irrigation management, and general farm operations.
• Experience in leading and motivating a team of agricultural workers.
• Ability to interpret and implement agricultural plans and instructions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
