Aircraft Line Maintenance Tech — Aog & Training

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Aircraft Line Maintenance Technician to join their dynamic team at Upington airport. This role is responsible for performing scheduled line maintenance tasks, defect rectification, and servicing of aircraft on the ground to ensure they are ready for flight operations. You will work on a variety of aircraft types, performing checks, troubleshooting issues, and carrying out necessary repairs according to approved maintenance data.

The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, technically proficient, and able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced airport environment.

• Perform scheduled line maintenance checks (e.g., A-checks) and routine servicing of aircraft.
• Diagnose and rectify defects on aircraft systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, avionic) during line operations.
• Carry out component replacements and minor repairs as required by maintenance program.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with manufacturer's instructions, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Accurately document all maintenance performed, including defects found and work carried out, in the aircraft technical log.
• Respond promptly to operational disruptions and aircraft on ground (AOG) situations.

• Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license with appropriate ratings for line maintenance (e.g., CAT A, B1/B2).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in aircraft line maintenance

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and schematics.
