• Assist experienced welders in performing various welding tasks, including arc, MIG, and TIG welding.
• Learn to prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and cutting.
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
• Perform basic welding tasks under supervision, ensuring quality and precision.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working order.
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in all required apprenticeship training sessions and theoretical instruction.

• Matriculation certificate or equivalent qualification.
• A demonstrable interest in welding and metal fabrication.
• Good physical health and the ability to work in demanding industrial conditions.
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new welding techniques.
• Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa .
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Upington region.
