Controller, Accounting, Accounting & Finance

Our client, a rapidly growing mid sized toy and collectible distributor with 14 years of sustained growth, is now hiring a Controller for a newly created leadership position. Driven by recent expansion into high-growth international markets, this role offers an exceptional career opportunity for an accomplished accounting professional ready to take full ownership of the finance function.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance while the CFO focuses on international business development abroad.

• Financial Oversight
  :
  Lead month-end close, financial statement preparation, and multi-entity global consolidations.
• Operational Accounting
  :
  Manage cash flow, inventory valuation, audit preparation, and domestic and foreign tax compliance.
• Process Scaling
  :
  Optimize ERP workflows and establish robust internal controls to support international distribution.
• Team Leadership
  :
  Supervise, mentor, and build a small but growing high-performing accounting team.

• Experience
  : 7+ years in progressive accounting roles, preferably in distribution, wholesale, or consumer goods.
• Education
  :
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; active CPA or CMA a plus but not required.
• Skills
  :
  Proven expertise in GAAP, foreign currency transactions, inventory accounting, and modern financial systems.
