Position Summary
The Global Operations and Honors Program Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and day-to-day operations of global programs and honors initiatives within the institution. This role provides administrative, logistical, and student-facing support to ensure the effective delivery of academic programming, international engagement opportunities, and honors-related activities. The coordinator works collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners to support program goals and enhance the student experience.
The position also assists with the supervision and support of student interns. This position is primarily responsible to:
* Testify to personal experience of salvation in Jesus Christ, affirm belief in the University's Statement of Faith, abide by and practice our Life Together Covenant, and both personally agree with and support the Foundational Documents of Taylor University.
Program Coordination & Operations
* Coordinate day-to-day administrative operations for global programs and honors initiatives.
* Assist with planning, scheduling, and implementation of academic events, workshops, orientations, and special programs.
* Maintain program calendars, timelines, and documentation to ensure smooth operations.
* Support logistics for global learning activities, including travel preparation, communication materials, and program resources (as applicable).
Student Support, Engagement & Intern Supervision
* Serve as a primary point of contact for students participating in global and honors programs.
* Respond to student inquiries and provide guidance on program requirements, deadlines, and participation processes.
* Assist with student onboarding, advising referrals, and program participation tracking.
* Provide day-to-day guidance and support to student interns, including task coordination, training, and feedback.
* Assist with assigning projects and monitoring progress of student interns in alignment with program goals.
* Support student-facing events and engagement activities related to honors and global programs.
Administrative & Data Support
* Maintain accurate student records, databases, and program files. Particularly for the Open Doors Survey, including the International Student and Study Abroad Reports for the University.
* Support budget tracking, purchasing requests, and reimbursements in coordination with supervisors.
* Prepare routine correspondence, presentations, and program materials.
Collaboration & Communication
* Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and campus partners to support program delivery.
* Assist with communication efforts, including website updates, email communications, and promotional materials.
* Support coordination with external partners or international institutions as needed.
General Support
* Assist with special projects and initiatives related to global engagement and honors programming.
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
* Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
* Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's Degree with experience in an educational or academic setting.
* Interest in global education, international programs, or honors education.
* Experience supervising or mentoring students (e.g., interns, peer leaders, student employees).
* Experience with student services, program coordination, or administrative support.
* Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
* Ability to provide guidance and support to student interns in a learning-focused environment.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Cultural awareness and sensitivity in working with diverse communities.
* Willingness to learn institutional policies and academic procedures.
* Travel planning experience preferred
