Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Upland, California. This position involves preparing and filing tax returns for corporations, trusts, and individuals, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The role requires excellent attention to detail and proficiency in tax preparation software.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and file tax returns for corporations, including C Corps and S Corps.

- Handle trust tax returns with precision and adherence to regulations.

- Manage tax services for a wide range of clients annually, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Utilize Lacerte tax software to efficiently complete tax preparation tasks.

- Coordinate client appointments and maintain schedules using Adobe and Google Workspace tools.

- Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure compliance.

- Provide guidance to clients on tax-related matters and address their inquiries.

- Review and verify tax documents for accuracy before submission.

- Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations to maintain compliance.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline the tax preparation process. Requirements - Proven experience in tax preparation for corporations, trusts, and individuals.

- Proficiency in using Lacerte tax software for filing and preparation.

- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance standards.

- Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Adobe and Google Workspace.

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.

- Ability to manage multiple clients and prioritize tasks effectively.

- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.

- Commitment to staying informed about updates to tax laws and practices.
