Financial Analyst in Upland, California

Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst with prior experience in the construction, utility, or related project-based industries. This individual will be responsible for financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, operational analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.

• Develop, maintain, and improve complex financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
• Perform budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities.
• Analyze project profitability, job costs, labor utilization, and operational performance metrics.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis on revenue, expenses, margins, and project performance.
• Partner with Operations, Project Managers, Accounting, and Executive Leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Create dashboards and reports that track KPIs, project performance, and financial trends.
• Support cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis.
• Analyze capital expenditures (Cap Ex), operating expenses (OpEx), and project investment opportunities.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and strategic plans.
• Evaluate financial risks and opportunities and make recommendations to improve profitability.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of financial analysis, FP&A, or corporate finance experience.
• Construction, Utilities, or Project-Based Industry experience required.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to: the individual's skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certification requirements; office location and other geographic considerations; and other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
