Works under the supervision of the Project Manager or designee with 95% standards of cleanliness within assigned tasks. Candidates should be qualified janitors / cleaners with a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail.

Per State of California pay transparency law, the pay rate for this position is $18.00 / hour + $4.41 / hour H&W.

• The employee will follow all rules and regulations relative to entering and leaving the building.
• Must be physically able to perform all duties and tasks in the statement of work and shall be free of communicable diseases.
• Must be able to utilize cleaning products, chemicals, vacuums, mops, wringers, dust tools, and floor machines.
• Must be able to use equipment such as ladders.
• Will report fires, hazardous conditions, and items in need of repair, such as dead lights, leaking faucets, toilet stoppage, etc.
• Basic cleaning tasks to include but are not limited to the following :
• Empty & Clean Wastebaskets
• Clean, Disinfect & Polish Water Fountain
• Replenish Supplies
• Clean & Sanitize
• Spot Cleaning
• Vacuum all Carpets
• Sweep & Mop all Hard Floors
• Wipe Clean All Window Blinds and Sills
• Interior Windows
• Shampoo Carpets
• Strip / Scrub / Rinse / Wax, Buff & Seal Floors
• High Dust & Clean
• Follow established procedure methods for handling and mixing chemicals

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have 1 year of experience of progressively responsible housekeeping / sanitation or other work that applies knowledge and skills to perform the position.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to pass background checks & drug test.

• Knowledge of janitorial methods, practices, materials, tools, occupational hazards, and safety precautions of the janitorial work.
• Shareholder Preference - Pursuant to PL 93-638, as amended, preference will be given to qualified Ahtna Native Corporation Shareholders, Descendants, and Spouses in all phases of employment.

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Demonstrates good customer relationship skills.

Office building setting

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. For an extended period may be required to stand or walk; push or pull heavy equipment. Considerable reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching as required.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday : hours based on business / operational needs
