MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The Molding Manufacturing Operator I is an entry‑level position with little or no prior experience required. Responsible to produce, assemble, inspect and pack all parts as per the work instructions for each assigned task or machine. Maintain all required paperwork and documentation to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and ISO 13485 standards.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clean assigned workstations.
  • Complete repairs and maintenance of production equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot equipment & machinery, allocate proper spare parts, and maintain maintenance documentation.
  • Respond to production and/or facility emergencies to maintain production output.
  • Establish priorities based on available information, work processes, and current production commitments.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and machinery as defined by the set of procedures.
  • Follow established procedures to maintain lubrication levels and/or lubricate and adjust production equipment as necessary.
  • Respond to safety emergencies and situations requiring immediate attention.
  • Additional duties and back‑up responsibilities:
    • Support production as requested by the production supervisor and/or the maintenance supervisor, including but not limited to screw and barrel cleanings, making water hoses, relocating equipment, and responding to oil and water spills.
    • Maintain and repair the facility as necessary, including drywall repair, small building projects, and plumbing fixture repair. Perform all duties and direct others to create a safe working environment for employees and the community.
    • Perform other duties as necessary.
EXPECTATION
  • Develop skills to perform basic, repetitive and manual activities in the job.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems.
  • Master all requirements of Maintenance Technician I in order to advance to Maintenance Technician II.
REQUIREMENTS Education / Certification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • 1–2 years maintenance experience, preferably in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Specialized training in electricity – high and low voltage systems preferred.
  • Machine control experience.
  • Programmable controller skills and ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Specialized training in hydraulics systems and components; ability to read hydraulic blueprints and schematics.
