Are you a skilled and compassionate nurse with a passion for making a difference in the lives of cancer patients? Our outpatient clinic in Upland is looking for a skilled and compassionate Radiation Oncology Nurse to become a key player in our dynamic team.

Responsibilities
  • Support providers with consults and follow‑ups.
  • Perform patient education.
  • Start IVs for CT simulations with contrast and coordinate chemotherapy.
  • Triage patient concerns related to their radiation therapy treatments and care‑related questions on side effects and wound care.
  • Help support the patient’s health literacy by providing patient education and answering clinical questions related to their care plan.
  • Assist in coordinating PEG tube placement and dental clearance for head and neck patients.
  • Assist in the radiation oncology care plan for cardiac devices.
  • Navigate patients and caregivers through any barriers to care to aid in providing timely treatment, acting as a liaison with other service lines such as financial counselors, social services, and transportation. (high‑level awareness of payor authorization related questions that could affect the patients’ care.)
  • Support the patient and caregivers in quality‑of‑life goals and survivorship.
  • 8‑hour shift, Monday – Friday (7:30 am – 4:00 pm).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in nursing is required.
  • Three to five years of related experience.
  • Current California Registered Nurse License.
  • Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • One (1) year radiation oncology experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience working in a physician’s office or hospital.
  • ONS or OCN certification.
