Starting Rate: $16.90 per hour

• Maintain a store section as assigned, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise, ensuring proper pricing, verifying product date codes, and stocking shelves, end displays, floor stacks, and refrigerated/frozen cases. Prepare perishable products for sale and set up advertising/promotional displays. Review invoices and bills for accuracy.
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot.
• Operate a cash register, receive payments, give change, process check/credit/debit transactions, and handle refunds when approved. Verify customer eligibility for alcoholic beverages.
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers, provide current store and product information, and assist loading purchases into vehicles when requested.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties and record lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools.

• Read and write English; interact effectively with the public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
