Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Customer Service Rep
About the Role
As a Customer Service Associate, you combine top‑notch customer service skills with genuine care for people to help customers feel comfortable while shopping at Lowe’s. This is an excellent role for those who want to engage with customers and help them solve their home improvement challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
- Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
- Down‑stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross‑functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service.
- Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- 6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- 6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
- Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without an accommodation.
- Retail and/or customer service experience of 6 months or more.
- Bi‑lingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials).

Environmental factors vary by location. You may work in both indoor and outdoor conditions with exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noise, moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume; associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds and using team lifts when needed.
Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance.
This role does not require regular travel; however, it may require occasional travel to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
CompensationPay range: $16.90 – $17.85 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on location, education, training, and experience.
