Overview

As a Customer Service Associate, you combine top‑notch customer service skills with genuine care for people to help customers feel comfortable while shopping at Lowe's. This is an excellent role for those who want to engage with customers and help them solve their home improvement challenges.

• Welcome customers, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
• Stock merchandise by replenishing supplies and maintaining empty areas on shelves.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise on time.
• Cross‑train in other areas of the store to deliver the best customer service.
• Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• 6 months experience using a computer for inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• 6 months experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
• Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other necessary activities.
• Minimum lift of 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without accommodation.

• 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
• Bi‑lingual skills.
• Certification in a trade related to a department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials).

This role does not require regular travel; however, this role may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.

Environmental factors vary by location. You may work in both inside and outside weather conditions with exposure to extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. Noise may be constant or intermittent. Lifting methods vary—limiting single lifts to 75 pounds and using team lifts when needed. Powered equipment usage requires proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Pay Range: $16.90 – $17.85 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
