Civil Design Technician —

Sands Decker
, a civil engineering and land surveying firm, is seeking an experienced Civil Design Technician to work in our Columbus office
. Our Civil Engineering group is looking for an individual to join them in working on exciting projects with forward-thinking clients.

• Prepare civil engineering drawings for site development including storm water drainage, sanitary sewers, waterlines, storm sewers, and supporting design information
• Attend pre-design site visits/meetings with contractors and/or clients
• Coordinate with other design and survey technicians
• Visit sites to gather information relevant to the project
• Utilize Civil 3D design software to complete project needs

• 2 years or more of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Must hold a current valid driver’s license
• Must pass a background check and drug testing (we are an Ohio Drug-Free Workplace)
• BS degree in Civil Engineering preferred but not required
• Understanding of State of Ohio and local agency design and approval requirements
• Ability to work with outside contractors/clients in a team atmosphere
• Team player who can collaborate with others and meet deadlines
• Accountable and dependable, with attention to detail and accurate data entry
• Good communication skills
