Licensed Practical Nurse PT

Job Description

Licensed Practical Nurse is a PT position for the 3:00PM - 11:30PM shift
. The ideal candidate for this position is required to possess a license and a genuine desire to work with the elderly. We are a family atmosphere with a team of caring professionals. This position is the Nurse on Duty during this shift. They are responsible for medication administration/documentation, responding to incidents/ changes in condition, any doctor prescribed treatment, and the overall well-being of our residents.

Previous experience is preferred, but not required. The candidate should be caring, organized, motivated, responsible and reliable.

• Maintains confidentiality regarding resident information
• Ensures that the required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
• Provides nursing care following established nursing service objectives and standards
• Ensures that all safety and infection control practices are followed
• Distributes and documents medications according to established standards and regulations
• Responds to emergency situations
• Communicates with guests and families regarding treatment and care

• Previous experience (preferred but not required)
• Genuine desire to work with the elderly and/or disabled
• Reliable transportation
• A license is required
• Knowledge of state and local regulations
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
