Licensed Practical Nurse OR PT

Job Description

The position available is FT or PT 7:00AM-5:30PM. The ideal candidate for this position is required to possess a license and a genuine desire to work with the elderly. We are a family atmosphere with a team of caring professionals. This position is the Nurse on Duty during this shift. They are responsible for medication administration/documentation, responding to incidents/changes in condition, any doctor prescribed treatment, and the overall well‑being of our residents.

Previous experience is preferred, but not required. The candidate should be caring, organized, motivated, responsible and reliable.

• Maintains confidentiality regarding resident information
• Ensures that the required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
• Provides nursing care following established nursing service objectives and standards
• Ensures that all safety and infection control practices are followed
• Distributes and documents medications according to established standards and regulations
• Responds to emergency situations
• Communicates with guests and families regarding treatment and care

• Previous experience (preferred but not required)
• Genuine desire to work with the elderly and/or disabled
• Reliable transportation
• A License is required.
• Knowledge of state and local regulations
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
