Curricular Innovation Program Associate
This full-time role provides administrative program support to the Associate Dean for Curricular Innovation, focusing on curricular program development and oversight for online MSL program, CS+Law major, and other potential Illinois Launchpad expansions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Program Administration and Planning:
- Under guidance from the Associate Dean for Curricular Innovation, and as part of a team with another Program Associate, coordinate operational projects and meetings, including for online course production and marketing
- Work as part of team to monitor and ensure the continuity of workflows and processes for the Associate Dean (such as the online MSL course development roadmap) by tracking progress, identifying bottlenecks, and providing regular updates
- Plans and monitors budget activities for online MSL program
- Processes financial transactions for the program
- Participates in setting MSL program objectives and long-range planning
- Collects and synthesizes information for program oversight, such as stakeholder feedback, resource needs, and progress reports for the Chicago program and related expansions
- Collaborate with the Associate Dean for Curricular Innovation to develop and refine workflows and processes for new programs, including the CS+Law major and potential Illinois Launchpad expansion
- Track and organize documents, including syllabi, course proposals, workflows, and project timelines
- Academics:
- Maintains a calendar of operational and/or administrative commitments and notifies faculty/staff of deadlines
- Directly coordinates with online MSL faculty and staff
- Coordinate class schedules, course registration, and academic records
- Serve as liaison between graduate students, faculty, administrative offices, campus units (i.e. CITL) and external partners
- Support:
- Support ad-hoc tasks related to curricular innovation, including research on best practices, preparing meeting agendas, and coordinating with teams like video production or quality assurance for online initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Work Schedule, Travel, or Other Job Expectations:
Occasional evening and weekend work, and some travel within Illinois will be required.
Specialty Factors:
Bachelor's degree. Demonstrated experience in administrative management. Preferred Qualifications High-level admin responsibility, such as EIC for a journal or coordinator of complex, external-facing programs, clinics, etc.
Appointment Information:
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5001 - Program Assistant position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 7/20/2026. The collective bargaining agreement sets a range of $42,802.50 to $63,648 for this classification. The budgeted salary range for the position is $50,000 to $60,000. This position is not eligible for any type of sponsorship for work authorization.
