Account Manager – Food/Commercial

This position reports to the Strategic Sales Director Food/Commercial and interfaces with customers, company managers & staff. It requires a high‑energy self‑starter who can work independently, is company oriented and committed to growth strategies, customer retention, and continuous engagement.
Responsibilities- Sales background in food or commercial products with 3+ years’ experience, managing 50+ accounts.
- Responsible for $20+ million in sales revenue.
- Screen all non‑medical leads to determine who will manage the account.
- Implement, renew, and review agreements; determine necessary price increases.
- Review monthly/weekly volumes to identify customer issues impacting year‑end results; provide resolution proposals to the Director.
- Analyze data for the Director and seek legal approval of various contracts.
- Provide direct support to the Director regarding customer satisfaction and complaints.
- Determine FDA regulation applications for sterilization of food, packaging, animal food, and pet treats to protect company liability.
- Monitor market trends, FDA recalls, approvals, and petitions; provide industry intelligence to the Director.
- Back up sales support when the Director is traveling or on vacation.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations for the Director to improve results.
- 3+ years of knowledge in food, beverage, pet, or packaging industries.
- Consistent results in increasing sales.
- Hands‑on, collaborative behavior.
- Strong written management and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data tools.
- Undergraduate degree in Business or Science‑related field; advanced degree preferred.
Salary Range: $65,500 - $107,000 per year, depending on experience.
