Position Title:

Purchasing & Planning Manager

Leading manufacturing company is looking to hire a Purchasing Manager. Seeking an experienced and strategic leader to drive excellence across our purchasing, scheduling, and planning operations.

Lead, innovate, and optimize all aspects of the Purchasing, Scheduling, and Planning functions to support efficient production, reliable supply, and continuous process improvement.

• Manage inventory levels, demand forecasting, and consumption data to optimize stock availability and minimize carrying costs.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost, and alignment with sustainability and ethical standards.
• Champion process improvement and ERP system optimization to enhance departmental performance and data-driven decision-making.
• Build and manage strong supplier partnerships, overseeing performance, resolving conflicts, and driving long-term collaboration.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize disruptions from product shortages or market fluctuations.
• Negotiate supplier contracts and terms to ensure favorable pricing, service, and mutually beneficial agreements.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external customers to align purchasing and production planning with business goals.
• Stay informed on market trends, economic conditions, and supplier capabilities through ongoing research and analysis.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives.

• Experience with raw materials
• Food industry purchasing experience highly preferred
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to assess operations and drive process innovation.
