BEAR Construction is seeking a motivated construction professional to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate leverages estimating expertise, technology solutions, and forward-thinking strategies to deliver client-focused, profitable projects while mentoring a high-performing team.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, estimate, and manage projects from concept to completion
  • Oversee construction procedures, budgets, and schedules
  • Support preconstruction and estimating efforts, including conceptual, schematic, and GMP estimates
  • Build and maintain industry relationships
  • Ensure financial targets and project alignment with approved estimates
  • Mentor and guide project teams
  • Provide value engineering options to meet client goals
  • Review subcontractor/vendor proposals and validate cost estimates
  • Conduct site walk-throughs to ensure quality, safety, and contract compliance
  • Manage permits and compliance with local authorities
  • Oversee project accounting duties, including invoicing, collections, and reporting
  • Communicate effectively across all project phases and promote BEAR Construction’s culture and values
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years in commercial construction, with 3+ years leading large, complex projects preferred
  • Strong preconstruction and estimating experience, including cost modeling and budget validation
  • Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred
  • OSHA safety trained; knowledge of architectural, structural, civil, and MEPFP systems
  • Proven ability to deliver profitable projects with high safety and quality standards
  • Skilled in preparing bid packages, scopes of work, and reviewing subcontractor estimates
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills
  • Tech-savvy with project management, estimating, and scheduling software
  • Goal-driven, resourceful, and proactive with strong decision-making abilities
