Common Lit seeks experienced educators based in the Midwest region (IL, MI, OH, IN, MN, WI) to serve as Professional Development Facilitators (Part‑Time, Contractor). Facilitators will lead on‑site professional development for school and district partners adopting and implementing Common Lit 360, with additional opportunities to deliver virtual PD throughout the year.
This role is ideal for former teacher leaders, instructional coaches, or school leaders passionate about adult learning, curriculum implementation, and improving literacy outcomes at scale.

You understand that change in a school is complex.
- You enjoy solving problems and supporting educators. You will lead PD for many schools implementing the Common Lit 360 curriculum for the first time. While leading sessions or gouf, you’ll work with customers to strategically solve problems using best practices and collaborative problem‑solving dean.
- You are eager to build new skills and are receptive to feedback. You love learning new things and challenging yourself.
- You are highly familiar with Common Lit and excited to learn more about our products and program. Candidates must be familiar with Common Lit’s products and have used them successfully, with special attention to those who have taught Common Lit 360 or supported its implementation.
- You have a flexible schedule and enjoy travel.
- Willingness to travel within the Midwest (including overnight travel) to deliver on‑site Professional Development, up to once per week between June and September.
- Expected availability of up to 20 hours per week mín peak season (June–September), inclusive of travel, facilitation, preparation, and follow‑up.
- Willingness to travel beyond the Midwest on an as‑needed basis, including two in‑person training days in late spring.
- Opportunity to facilitate both on‑site and virtual PD sessions during the school year as demand allows.
- Virtual sessions typically occur between 8:00 AM–7:00 PM ET

- Travel to facilitate day‑long, on‑site professional development sessions for schools adopting and implementing the Common Lit 360 curriculum.
- Lead virtual professional learning sessions aligned with Common Lit’s instructional program.
- Prepare for and follow up on PD sessions, including training, internal meetings, and required documentation.
- Collaborate with Common Lit’s Professional Development and Account Management teams.
- Develop and maintain deep expertise in Common Lit 360 instructional tools and PD offerings.
- 5+ years of experience as an ELA teacher, instructional coach, or school leader.
- 1+ years facilitating engaging, outcomes‑driven professional development.
- Strong command of best practices in ELA instruction and adult learning.
- Receptiveness to feedback and coaching.
