Provide a variety of counseling services to facilitate the academic, career and personal/social growth and development of Moraine Valley students. Duties include facilitating academic interventions, working with at‑risk students, providing individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, facilitating workshops, teaching credit courses, and consulting with faculty and staff regarding student concerns. Fulfills additional faculty responsibilities as required by the college to support student success.
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work or related Counseling field required.
- Must possess a valid LPC, LSW, LCPC or LCSW license from the state of Illinois, with clinical licensure preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of work experience required as a professional Counselor or Social Worker.
- Experience, training, and knowledge of individual/group counseling and assessment related to the academic, career, personal and social development of college students is required.
- Experience and training related to serving college students is strongly preferred.
This position requires a strong commitment to promoting student learning, student development, and student success through providing counseling services to meet the changing needs of various student populations. Candidates should have training and experience with counseling college students, and there is a strong preference for individuals with counseling experience in a higher education setting.

Hours:
General hours: 35 hours per week over Monday‑Friday during the Fall and Spring semesters. Minimum one day per week until office close is required, and schedule varies to cover evenings, peak hours, teaching schedules, and times outside of the Fall and Spring semesters. Additional hours outside of the Fall and Spring semesters can be worked for additional compensation.
Salary/Wage: $58,623‑$71,670 (Base)
