About the College of Law
College of Law, University of Illinois Urbana‑Champaign, is one of the oldest law schools in the country. It offers a collegial environment and a strong alumni network, and regularly employs distinguished lawyers and academics as adjunct professors.
Adjunct Faculty PositionThe College of Law is accepting applications for adjunct faculty in the following specialty areas. Classes will meet in the Law Building in Champaign, typically once or twice per week between mid‑August and early December.
Specialty Areas- Art Law
- Federal Indian Law
- Real Estate Law
- Trial Advocacy Workshop
- Dispute Resolution Team Coaching (arbitrations, mediations, negotiations, and client counseling)
- J.D. required.
- Two or more years of legal experience.
- Prior teaching experience strongly preferred.
- Current law license strongly preferred.
Five to ten percent academic position, appointed for Fall 2026 semester. Anticipated start date is August 2026. Salary ranges from $3,000 to $8,000 depending on credit hours. These positions are not eligible for university benefits.
