Position: Head Start Teacher Substitute (All Early Childhood Sites)

Overview

Champaign County Regional Planning Commission is seeking Head Teacher Substitutes to join our team providing services in Champaign County. Champaign County RPC is a people-focused agency made up of over 100 programs designed to generate possibilities for all within our community.

Responsibilities

The Head Start Teacher Substitute is responsible for providing leadership in the classroom and carrying out a developmentally appropriate educational program to meet the individual needs of each child and Illinois Early Learning Standards. The Early Head Start Program serves children from birth to 5 years old. An important role of the Head Start Teacher Substitute is to provide leadership for our students by creating a positive learning environment where Head Start children gain the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that lead to future school success.

Qualifications
  • Ability to fulfill all DCFS requirements, including a physical and criminal background check.
  • Must have an AA or BS in Early Childhood Education.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Compensation

Starting Hourly Wage: $20.47 for AA, $25.59 for BA, $27.55 for MA. Status:
Temporary.

Schedule:

Flexible schedules are available.
