Under general direction of the Principals or Assistant Principals, the teacher is responsible for helping students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible adults.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, with correct licensure and endorsements. 2-3 years teaching students at the elementary level except in the case of a new college graduate.
Valid Illinois Teaching License with the appropriate endorsements for the position.
Salary is based on a step placement which is determined by education, experience and the Urbana Education Association and Board of education contract.
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of professional personnel.
This is a position within the collective bargaining unit and is not an administrative position.
