Job Summary
Funded by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (IDCFS), responsible for facilitating training for the PRIDE Foster and Adoptive Parent Training Program to prospective, relative/fictive kin, licensed, and adoptive/sub-guardianship caregivers across Illinois through web-based, instructor-led, and hybrid learning formats for the Learning and Development Unit within the Office of Learning and Professional Development (OLDP).
Duties & Responsibilities
Training Facilitation
* Facilitating a combination of in-person, virtual, and on-demand training based on approved DCFS caregiver curricula. Facilitating all three formats, adapting to varying training assignments depending on demand. Travel for in-person training is required le efforts are made to limit travel within geographic regions, PRIDE is a statewide program and at times there may be statewide travel associated with training assignments.
Data Management and Administrative Support
* Responsible for data entry, ensuring the timely submission of required paperwork, and managing workflows to meet deadlines. This includes reviewing and managing training schedules to avoid conflicting assignments and monitoring hours to ensure compliance with the 40-hour weekly limit based on their job classification. Submit payroll and travel documentation in accordance with UIUC payroll and mileage guidelines.
Staff Development and Additional Responsibilities
* Participate periodically in staff development activities and meetings, supporting the ongoing growth of the team. Assigned to individual, or group projects related to training, curriculum development, or other tasks that ensure the successful delivery of caregiver training programs. Travel for in-person work groups, staff development, and staff meetings is required le efforts are made to limit travel within geographic regions, PRIDE is a statewide program and at times there may be statewide travel associated with assignments, staff meetings, and/or staff development.

Position is responsible for securing their own personal desktop or laptop computer to perform the work of this position and is expected to have a designated space where they can host presentations to a professional audience. Statewide travel required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. A minimum of five (5) years of recent experience as a licensed Foster and/or Adoptive Parent with knowledge of child welfare practices in Illinois, or three (3) years of recent experience as a child welfare professional in a public or private child welfare agency with knowledge of child welfare practices in Illinois.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work. Experience as a trainer.

Skills and Abilities
* Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment; excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions; strong interpersonal, customer service, and active listening skills. Proficient in Zoom and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, Teams), and PDF tools (Adobe, Acrobat Reader). Skilled in data entry and managing workflow to meet deadlines.
Appointment Information
This is a part-time Academic Hourly position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The position is grant-funded, and several positions are available statewide. Renewal is contingent upon the availability of funds. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the search posting closes. The hourly wage for this position is $38.00 per hour while facilitating trainings and $19.00 per hour while preparing training materials.
This position is not eligible for any type of sponsorship for work authorization. Hybrid work options may be available for this position with the ability to be on-site as needed per the University's Workplace Flexibility policy.
