Position OverviewThis role will empower students with emotional and behavioral challenges to have successful experiences in school, at home, and in the community. The PE Teacher will provide adapted physical education instruction for K–12 students, creating a supportive classroom that integrates Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) and mental health strategies. The PE Teacher will work with small class sizes and collaborate with classroom support staff to ensure the success of each student.
Key Responsibilities for the PE Teacher- Design and deliver individualized physical education instruction for students with diverse learning needs.
- Integrate Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) and mental health strategies into PE lessons.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging environment as a PE Teacher
, encouraging students to thrive academically, socially, and physically. - Collaborate with teaching staff to support student progress and implement behavior plans.
- Maintain clear communication with families, school leadership, and support staff regarding student growth and achievement.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (required). - Experience:
Previous experience working with children in a therapeutic or special education setting is preferred.
- Competitive salary based on education and experience.
- Small class sizes: 10 or fewer students per class.
- Additional support staff:
Two additional support staff (Para educator and Teaching Assistant) in every classroom. - Tuition Assistance:

Available up to $2,500. - Summer Income:
