Overview

Our client, a leader in aerospace manufacturing and engineering, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer Solidworks Onsite to join their team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer Solidworks Onsite, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting product development and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Solidworks Onsite
Location: Urbana, Illinois
Pay Range: $32/hr - $41/hr

• Conceptualize, design, and document the mechanical aspects to support the design, manufacturing, and service of aerospace products.
• Provide engineering design and analysis for new product development or modifications of existing products.
• Read and interpret aircraft manuals to determine system functionality and ensure compliance with technical standards.
• Participate in data collection trips to assess component size and functionality, and locate suitable part substitutes as needed.
• Review technical and contractual documentation to verify that designs meet all requirements and troubleshoot design or manufacturing issues effectively.

• Must-Haves: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering; 2–5 years of professional design experience;
  Proficiency in Solid Works and Microsoft Excel;
  Eligibility:
  Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder. (No C2C / No Sponsorship available). Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance if requested.
