Investment Analyst - Hybrid

Banking & Investment Services

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Enter and maintain investment and benchmark return data and market values for the System's Long-Term Investment and Operating Pools, ensuring accuracy through database management and reconciliation with managers.
  • Reconcile daily investment transactions between the custodian and the investment analytics/reporting platform.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of valuations and unfunded commitments with investment managers and the investment analytics/reporting platform to ensure data integrity.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on a variety of investment topics, including but not limited to monthly State-mandated Public Funds disclosures and quarterly Operating Pool summaries.
  • Prepare and record investment transactions, including capital calls, distributions, and investment fees.
  • Maintain contracts within the Investment Office, including monitoring expiration dates and renewals, within the contract database; initiate required purchase orders for applicable vendors.
  • Manage documentation retention in accordance with procedures, including maintenance of current authorized signatory forms, financial statements, and tax documents.
  • Reconcile and maintain documentation and supporting materials related to investment accounts and reconcile monthly statements to actuals and budget.
  • Maintain documentation on companies designated as security assets for the Office of Technology Management, as well as SAFE agreements for University stakeholders.
  • Compile and submit program metrics for peer surveys.
  • Develop ad hoc reports and assist with the preparation of presentations for management.
  • Record minutes and participate in semiannual Investment Advisory Council meetings, Investment Governance and Risk Management meetings, and select quarterly manager and consultant performance reviews; attend due diligence visits as appropriate.
  • Serve as a liaison representing the System Office of Investments with internal staff and external counter parties.
  • Independently manage and prioritize multiple projects, identifying matters requiring immediate attention and facilitating timely investment decisions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, appropriate for the position of Investment Analyst.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or completion of degree requirements by December 2025.
PREFERRED
  • 1-3 years of investment experience.
  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in investment operations.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative.
  • Proven organizational skills along with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines with accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical skills needed to read, interpret, and review documents and reports.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with internal and external constituents.
  • Demonstrated experience working as a team.
APPOINTMENT INFORMATION

This is a full‑time academic professional position. The expected start date is 12/16/2025. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position. System Office jobs such as this one are not eligible for the referral program.

The budgeted salary range for the position is $65,000.00 – $75,000.00. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
