Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with Illinois licensure and BLS for an acute care hospital, with experience in Epic EMR and Level 1 trauma preferred.
Responsibilities- Work in an acute care hospital setting serving patients of all ages
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM
- Utilizes Epic EMR for documentation
- Provides evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for diverse patient populations
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and supports PTA and rehabilitation technicians
- Responsibilities include designing and adjusting care plans, providing patient and family education, and supervising support personnel
- Expected to use standardized outcome measures to ensure accurate reflection of patient progress
- Must adhere to regulatory and organizational documentation standards
- No local candidates accepted; candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
- Requested time off should not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not be assigned for more than 1 year continuously and must take a 6-month break before returning
- Scrub attire or professional dress required as per department guidelines
- Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association required
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
- Epic charting experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Minimum one year of relevant experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered
